Only because I was told it was better. But can anyone explain exactly why it's better?

3. I tend to avoid religious debates . . . |
|
So I don't talk about my browser or whether my computer is named after fruit or not.
Of course, there's the small matter that I don't CARE about my browser, since the free one that came with my operating system (hint, hint) seems to work just fine.
But since the poll is anonymous . . .

5. IE has always been good for me... |
|
as long as I don't use any plugins. Googletoolbar causes problems, etc. I just leave it alone and it's fine.

6. FIREFOX ALL THE WAY BABY!!!! |
|
IE can lick my nads!!!!!!! IE is slower than a turtle on ludes. So screw that! Firefox lives up to it's name, it's on fire. I only wish I had coin to invest in them. Even if they don't win out in the long run, Bill Gates can lick a light socket. Too bad Mozilla doesn't have a competing program for Windows. Then I could completely free my PC of ALL Microshit!!!!!!!!!

I find it more customizable and less buggy than FF. However, I keep Firefox around as a backup browser.

11. 98% Firefox & 2% Slim Browser if I need the IE base |
|
Firefox is fast, stable, secure, has a built in pop-up killer and is very user friendly. Over the last few years (since my DH finally talked me into trying it) I have grown to love it's tabbed browsing and my "Red Cat" (green flavor) theme. >^,,^< It's also nicely customizable and they offer many additions that make my life easier...like the Gmail Manager I'm DLing right now. :D
If I must use "IE" to view or participate in a website I use Slim Browser. It's an excellent alternative to Firefox imo. B-)
Besides that... they're NOT Microsoft. :D Using these browsers is my tiny little rebellion against MS & Bill Gates.

both are very fast and stable.
Firefaux has always been very un-stable for me on my Windows and Linux systems.

15. Opera, then Firefox... |
|
for some sites that hate Opera. Some secure sites still require IE or Netscape, but I try to avoid them. I usually just skip sites that require Active X.
Dunno how long Opera's gonna be around, though-- they seem to be headed in another direction.

17. Is there some reason this poll is taking up space on GD? |
|
Sorry, but I question why some of these endless polls -- some of which appear to be pointless -- are being posted only to bump substantive discussions off the front page. This is really getting annoying.

18. These graphical browsers are a FAD! |
|
My acoustic modem and 8-inch floppy based desktop do just fine without any of your newfangled "browsers" a tall.
(ok, it's FF for me, except for a site or two that requires IE.)
