Has this time change completely mucked up the works for anyone else? |

I'm so sleepy all the time now!! This doesn't save energy in the summer! If the sun's up, it means it's HOTTER LONGER! If you let it get darker SOONER...then you let the AC stop working NEARLY as hard! I hate Daylight Savings time!! :grr: Duckie

I've been dragging all week, not to mention the probable screw-up of many thought processes. x(

Particularly in June and July, when it doesn't get dark until 9 p.m. or so. :bounce:
But for practical purposes, it seems we've got it backwards. Wouldn't it make more sense to have DST in the other six months so everything would be more or less uniform?

The length of the day didn't change. Just the time.

The length of daylight is a function of the earth's orbit and angle in relation to the sun. Changing the time on the clock has absolutely no influence on the sun.

Yeah, down here in south Texas it means we run the AC longer and harder to cool us off for sleep, versus letting the temp come down a little before we go to bed. When I wake up the house is too cool. I don't have a programmable thermostat. No energy savings here just because the lights are on less.
My sleep is screwed up. I'm waking up earlier instead of later for some reason. My kids' sleep is a mess.
