Poll question: Have you filed your taxes yet? |
|
I'm procrastinating because it's going to be complicated this year. I work best under pressure anyway.
So, what's your status?
Do you do it yourself? Use software or pay a preparer? Do you mail in forms or e-file?

1. Just printed it out. This is a odd year for me. I owe. |

Most years I get a refund and file ASAP.
The post office is right around the corner, I might go drop it off now. Avoid the rush.
Edit I use Turbo Tax.
And the post office's little kiosk thing was doing maintenance on itself, so I couldn't mail my return off. Guess I have to wait until later. x(

2. Hope it's not too much |

We've got lots of screwy things going on so I don't know how we'll come out. If we owe, it won't be much.
I hope yours wasn't so bad.

3. Oh, it was not pretty at all. |
|
But fortunately I prepared well, so I really won't hurt too much.

to drop it in the mail on Sat. the 15th. I don't want to be near the P.O. on the 17th, people always look so angry on tax mailing dates. :scared:

9. No, we haven't filed yet.. |

We have an appointment at the accountant's office on Thursday afternoon. We will file and pay them after that.
The accountant we're going to see is a new one. Our old accountant died in December and this guy is his replacement.
I'm just hoping he doesn't ask why we didn't pay quarterly estimated tax. If he does, I'm just going to say, "we don't support pre-emptive war"..

10. Did it a month ago. Download the forms on the internet, grab a pencil. |

I do it the old fashioned way. I like the sence of accomplishment it gives me. And I had a lot of free time to kill in March.
