Honestly! I'm back in the pool and on the treadmill as soon as these sutures come out of my hand!

2. "Imagination -- is funny -- it makes your cloudy day sunny..."
I still have the BEFORE picture on that one:

Here I am when I just had seventeen candles on my birthday cake (August, 1956):

7. Thankyouverymuch. I recently located the fellow who took the photo.

He was just a few years older than I was, and he just celebrated his 70th birthday on Feb. 4, 2006. Here is our photo from the Senior Class Prom in the spring of 1956. He went into the army after I started college, was in Ft. Jackson, SC, and then to Stuttgart, Germany. I sent him a "Dear John" letter and have always felt guilty about it.

Recently, I located him through his older brother. I called my former boyfriend to apologize for my insensitivity. He told me there was "nothing to apologize for -- we were just young kids." It was very nice to hear. We've exchanged some photos, but regrettably, he is not active on the Internet. He married in 1963 and has two adult children and one new grandchild. After fifty years, it's good to ask forgiveness!

8. I have a modest collection of vintage dresses...
Your prom dress was gorgeous.

I won't say you were gorgeous, 'cause you still are.

9. {{really blushing}} I do appreciate your compliments -- I'll try

to remember them when I look at myself naked in a full length mirror sometime...

I think I'm just a tad overripe for Playboy or Penthouse, I guess. They'd have to AIRBRUSH EVERYTHING!

That dress was aquamarine blue-green. The top was made of a metallic weave called LAME (with an accent over the e -- the French word is pronounced: lam-MAY). As I recall, it was kind of scratchy under the arms -- like some MYLAR fabrics today. The bottom was several layers of TULLE or CHIFFON, and CRINOLINE underneath. And, of course, long white Doeskin gloves.

10. Apparently the first guy shed the unsightly tattoos along with the fat.
And his hairline has completely changed, too! That exercisin' sure is purty!

Who knows? I hope he's healthier.

4. What happened to your hand, Radio Lady?
Hope you're doing OK.

Yeah, those BEFORE and AFTER pix can go one of two ways: either provide inspiring motivation.....OR, amused derision.

heheheh.

Personally, I'm inspired. :hi:

5. Thanks, Shine. I'm fine. (Hey, that's a good rhyme!)
I've had problems with trigger fingers, several of them had to be repaired over the last couple of decades. Also, had bilateral (both hands) carpal tunnel syndrome repaired in the 1980s. Everything turned out OK.

If you're curious about stenosing tenosynovitis or "trigger finger," I put it in my journal. Here's the post:
