CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" - how bad is it?

This show was recently green-lighted for another season (inexplicably) and I stand firm in my belief that this is the worst show on TV, but in the way that it's so bad it's actually enjoyable. It's the brainchild of "world renowned psychic medium" James van Praagh and it stars Jennifer Love Hewitt. Alright, let's get real here - the show's real stars are Hewitt's breasts, which the director never seems to tire of focusing on. The idea I think is to distract you from a) how ridiculous the show's premise is, b) how horrible the writing is, and c) how bottom-barrel the acting is. Seriously. Hewitt is nice to look a, but her acting on this show is about as phony as van Praagh.

Anyway, the fun comes from trying to keep from laughing while she helps YET ANOTHER ghost contact a living loved one. For living where she does, in what is supposed to be a small town, there sure are a lot of lost souls wandering around. Here's a typical plot:

GHOST: "Help me contact my dead wife and tell her I love her."

HEWITT: "No!"

(minutes later)

GHOST: "Help me contact my dead wife and tell her I love her!"

HEWITT: "No!"

GHOST: "I promise I'll leave you alone."

HEWITT: "Okay!"

Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And yet, you can't turn away.
