A Salvation Army band played And the children drank lemonade And the morning lasted all day, All day And through an open window came Like Sinatra in a younger day, Pushing the town away Ah -
Ah hey ma ma ma Life in a northern town.
They sat on the stoney ground And he took a cigarette out And everyone else came down To listen. He said "In winter 1963 It felt like the world would freeze With John F. Kennedy And the Beatles."
Ah hey ma ma ma Life in a northern town. Ah hey ma ma ma All the work shut down.
The evening had turned to rain Watch the water roll down the drain, As we followed him down To the station And though he never would wave goodbye, You could see it written in his eyes As the train rolled out of sight Bye-bye.
Ah hey ma ma ma Life in a northern town. Ah hey ma ma ma Life in a northern town.
In 1963 the world did freeze. And for the next decade, we lived under an administration bent on perpetuating death and destruction. Tens of thousands of or Fathers and sons, Uncles and Brothers left their souls in a land that resented them.
Now we are at a crossroads. We have an administration bent of perpetuating war across the globe, settling long forgotten scores, and leaving the souls of thousands of our Fathers and sons, Mothers and daughters, Aunts and Uncles, sisters and brothers in a land that hates them.
If we don't stop them in November, the world will end in our lifetime. Stop the lies. Stop the lies. Stop the lies.

You and I in a little toy shop Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got Set them free at the break of dawn 'till one by one they were gone Back at base, sparks in the software Flash the message "somethings out there" Floating in the summer sky Ninety nine red balloons go by
Ninety nine red balloons Floating in the summer sky Panic bells, it's red alert There's something here from somewhere else The war machine springs to life Opens up one eager eye And focusing it on the sky The ninety nine red balloons go by
Ninety nine decisions treat Ninety nine ministers meet To worry, worry, super scurry Call the troops out in a hurry This is what we've waited for This is it boys, this is war The President is on the line As Ninety nine red balloons go by
Ninety nine knights of the air Ride super high-tech jet fighters Everyone's a super hero Everyone's a Captain Kirk With orders to identify To clarify and classify Scramble in the summer sky Ninety nine red balloons go by
As ninety nine red balloons go by
Ninety nine dreams I have had In every one a red balloon It's all over and I'm standing pretty In this dust that was a city If i could find a souvenir Just to prove the world was here And here is a red balloon I think of you and let it go
Amazing how important songs of the past still ring true today.
