5. When I was in fifth grade
I was at a friends house and she said, some in here and check this out. She played the part in Aladdin where Genie is a been and Aladdin is trying to get Jasmine on the Majic carpet. All I could here was "take of ... clothes." But I heard it with my own ears.

There is hidden things in a lot of Disney movies. There is one that reveals a lot of my sororites secret stuff.

7. If you go to the snopes link...
You can hear it with your own ears now. At regular speed and slow-mo.

From snopes:

Whatever is being said, to the casual listener the resulting phrase can certainly sound like the "Good teenagers, take off your clothes," although the phrase is clearly the combination of two different voices speaking in two different tones.

Once people have been told what they're "supposed" to be hearing, however, they find it difficult to maintain objectivity and therefore swear that Aladdin couldn't possibly be saying anything else.

People hear what they expect to hear (especially if they're 10 years old, and hearing about it from their friends). It could be "Take off and go" like Disney says, but what is undeniable is that IT'S UNCLEAR.

9. I actually have it!
On the cover of the original VCR tape box, the tip of the golden castle is actually a golden penis! :o Wouldn't believe it myself if I didn't have it. They, of course, later changed the cover. There is also a part in the movie where the mermaid is marrying the prince and the minister's pants poke out in a certain area like he is excited!!
Bad Bad Disney!!!

15. OK, then behold and decide...
Two frames of the same scene (from snopes of course)

The minister is dressed as a bishop (wearing a tunic and tights) in this scene, and the triangular bulge claimed to be an "erection" is actually his knee sticking out from under the tunic. The minister's bandy legs and the blending of the tunic and tights make it difficult to distinguish his knee in some frames, although it is clearly visible in others.

17. "Save their asses"?
So you're saying that

1. Disney realized there was an erection in the movie
2. So they added later frames (or altered them) to make it look like the erection was a knee
3. But then they left in the original erection, since their asses were now covered

:wtf:

I like the Occam's Razor version better:
1. The animators drew the minister with bandy knees
2. In one frame his knee looks (to some beholders) like an erection (but you CAN see the line of the tunic above it)
3. In later frames his knee looks like a knee
4. Fundies watching it frame-by-frame get all excited, and file lawsuits (yes, this really happened)

10. The "penis tower" was an accident, the boobs frame was on purpose
All of this is on snopes, fun reading: http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/films.asp

Claim: One of the castle spires on the cover of Disney's The Little Mermaid home video was deliberately drawn as a phallus by a disgruntled artist.
Status: False.
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/mermaid.htm

Claim: The photographic image of a topless woman can be spotted in the background of The Rescuers.
Status: True.
http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/rescuers.htm

Bottom line? There's no sex conspiracy at Disney. Disney animators and film editors, however, are a playful lot, no doubt.

be interpreted as anything else. And why would they remove it if it weren't? I get what you are saying, but to me, that is a penis and nothing else. Yeah, I see the tower you posted and that could be interpreted as looking like a penis, but that is open to interpretation. The Disney one, IMO, isn't!

Edited on Wed Apr-12-06 09:20 AM by kay1864
It definitely looks very much like a penis, and Disney definitely changed its appearance because of the controversy. Note that said controversy arose <snort> a long time after the movie poster--which had the very same column. So it almost certainly wasn't a deliberate decision on Disney's part, but rather an oversight--they don't need that kind of attention (anything that might affect ticket sales, you know...)

However, per the artist, it wasn't intentionally a penis on his part, but rather a 4 am accident. Now he could be lying so that he would get more work from Disney, but who knows?

All I wanna know is...

where's Dr Ruth when we need her most??

31. That's not what M.Moore had on TV Nation (Nazis at Disneyland)
I think it was TV Nation-they had interviews with former Disney cartoonists (who are routinely fired after doing one project) and this one guy said that he was fired and they didn't lock him out of the computer system so he went back and added the penis tower. Another guy hated the security people standing over his shoulder so in some part of Disneyland he painted Nazi stormtroopers on a balcony.

Edited on Wed Apr-12-06 10:21 AM by kay1864
I was referring to

this one guy said that he was fired and they didn't lock him out of the computer system so he went back and added the penis tower

Well, we already know that

this one guy said that he was fired

is totally false. The artist was not a Disney employee, and he wasn't fired (see snopes for details).

and

they didn't lock him out of the computer system so he went back and added the penis tower

This is suspect (if not false), since it was an independent artist, not a Disney employee.

So I'd really be interested in a TV Nation reference that backs this up.

But thanks for the snopes/Nazi reference. So it's not "stormtroopers" (plural), but rather one guy who may or may not be a Nazi, especially if you're not told that he is.
