Almost 15. What are my chances of finding a decent guy
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 04:09 PM by WritingIsMyReligion
at this early a stage in the game? Thus far, it's been a WASH!

Sorry. Opportunity presented itself. :D :P :D Besides, what's more fun than bashing on hormonal, immature, adolescent males??

:hi:

WIMR

On Edit: Yes, this is a copycat. My most successful yet, to boot! :D

An only child who grew up in adult circles is NOT good with socializing with her peers.

I'm an only, too. Just wondering...do you have cousins who live near you? Because I didn't, so, like you, I grew up around adults and can more easily relate to adult topics than I can to the one I'm "supposed" to. So, I have ridiculously high stardards for the people I befriend or relate to and I'm really picky in social situations.

32. Most of my cousins live right near me, actually.
But one will be 18 in July--and he's a reclusive only himself. The other two local cousins are 10 and 8. I relate better to the 8 y/o than the 10 y/o--the 8 y/o is ridiculously smart.

Sure making fun of teenage boys is fun.

But wait! You want this? You are a child!

OK. If a man says your name. and it resonates through you - your own name as he said it, it makes your bones ache...... that's cool when you are my age, not so much yours.

You take your panties off, girl... And I'll kill you. You have so much to offer.....

11. I was only 17 when I met the guy I would marry (at the age of 25)
So who knows? The guy of your dreams could be right around the corner.
But don't be in any hurry to get married. I enjoyed living on my own for a few years before marriage just so I could prove to myself that I could take care of myself... well, that and so I could have the remote control to the tv all to myself for a few years!!! LOL

17. I'm not in any hurry.
But I'm sometimes lonely...Everyone says I'm an adult trapped in a teenage body. My peers rarely interest me. I grew up around all adults, and I'm an only child. Pity, really....My childhood was full of studying, learning, and holding adult conversations. I never "played" with other kids or "socialized." My social skills are, therefore, proportionally lacking.

I enjoyed the company of adults more than people my own age. I wasn't interested in the things that other teenagers were. I think I turned out ok, all things considered.
Dont' worry about it. Sooner or later the other people your age will catch up with you.

15. You'll have to nurture a diamond in the rough
In junior high & high school, I was painfully shy - I was voted shyest in my class in both junior high & high school (same town those years, too)... I didn't date until my junior year in college, and didn't find a girlfriend until my senior year - and that lasted all of 6 weeks.

Heck, even in my 20s, my dates were few & far between. But, I blossomed by the time I hit my 30s and managed to find a woman who would put up with me!

So no doubt there are smart, advanced cute high school guys out there, somewhere.
