5. Yep. Sold the mountain house and the condo and bought this:

A prairie cottage/craftsman built in 1905. It is great!

6. Your utensil holder has inspired me.....
There is a plant pot out in the garage that I was going to donate to a thrift store that I must rescue and clean up (there was a plant potted in it) as a utensil holder.

Thanks for the great idea!

Oh, great kitchen photo. Love the window.

7. I was hoping you would check in.
The utensil holder is just another ceramic crock. Works fine; lasts long time.

8. Same with the pot I will rescue over the weekend....
The house I am leaving has great windows. Three leaded-glass French windows (tall and narrow) in the living room. The dining room has a big bay window. And the front bedroom upstairs has a diamond pattern wood thing in the upper sash. The buyers love those windows, as well as the enormous fireplace and built-in bookcases in the foyer.

The condo I am moving to has great windows. The exterior walls are a line of windows that open inwards, Thermopane and with venetian blinds in between the layers of glass. Energy efficient and bringing in lots of light.

Again, thanks for the inspiration. The pot was one of the things I hated to part with, but since I won't have a balcony (the building has a rooftop deck instead) I didn't have a use for it. Until now.

:hi:
