It is a fine line between "beans" and "bean soup." |
|
Oh, man. This might be the one to send me over the edge.
Get a bowl of beans and there is some moisture in there that could be characterized as soup. Order bean soup and there is moisture there, too. Okay, maybe a little more.
Somebody needs to straighten this shit out before I freak out. It is important.

Beans are beans. Usually, bean soup has other stuff: onion, carrot, etc. Maybe even some meat.

7. I pour a lot of ketchup in my beans (soup) |
|
and crumble up the cornbread in it too, mix it all together. I call it cornbread and beans, never called it bean soup once. It is best with some ham and onions in it, and maybe some extra salt too. Carrots are ok. I've had 'em in there, but it still seems just a little odd to me.
