Why is a photobucket image being shown as hosted by democraticunderground?

In merh's thread about Back Bay, she has an image which isn't
coming up for me. The URL of it is this:

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e338/determinedafterstorm/Waynesjoy.jpg

But when I punch in that URL to try to see it outside of her
post, just to see it for real, I get this error; and notice
the apacher server that's generating the error:

Not Found
The requested URL
/albums/e338/determinedafterstorm/Waynesjoy.jpg was not found
on this server.

Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.democraticunderground.com Port 80




Why is it doing this? I even took my browser and went to a
bunch of different sites, trying to get far away from DU,
thinking that maybe my browser was confusing DU or doing
something weird, and that error still came up.

is there a malformed url on that page? that could kick off the problem with your browser thinking the page is in DU

Or it works for you if you cut and paste the URL?

And did you look at it from her thread before, so that you're sure you're seeing it from the photobukcet account, and not your cache?

and I typically have my browsers check for new versions of a page every visit for development reasons

4. Worked for me.

I emptied my browser cache to be sure the image wasn't being stored locally, went to the URL, and the pic showed up as an image. :shrug:

6. A day later, after the computer has been shut down,

I still can't see the damn thing, and still get the same error message when I try to view it.

Fucking weird.
