Did anyone watch the Hallmark version of "The Ten Commandments"?

I thought it was bad. And not on religious grounds - not at all. The effects, the acting - to be honest, I found myself laughing out loud at several points. The worst aspect was the "voice" of G-d - it actually sounded evil, like you'd imagine an evil being would sound like.

And it was totally unnecessary - Cecil B. DeMille made 2 versions of the Ten Commandments, and both blow this ham-handed attempt out of the water. And DeMille could be pretty ham-handed!

So, what say you, DU? :)

I only saw the one with Heston in it.

It's very good, but I suppose that's dependent upon whether or not you like silent movies. I do.

If you buy the Heston version on DVD, the silent version is included with it.

3. Honestly, I was a bit interested in watching it

I tried, but it started bad right off the bat. So I can't really rate it because I only saw about 20 minutes of it.
