1. Jeez, that better be a friggin HUGH bowl of stew
I dunno if I'd eat it, have this golden rule with BBQ joints that if they serve anything apart from BBQ and Brunswick stew, it aint good lol.

2. The price of all restaurant food is through the roof lately....
I spent $8 for lunch at McDonalds the other day (forgive me, I drive a semi and truckstops don't offer much in the choices department).

Just remember, everything is made of oil. Oil prices go up, everything goes up.

3. $14.50 for Brunswick stew?
Must be the good stuff -- made with real possum, no squirrel added!

But possum costs more.

8. Funny you should mention Brunswick Stew, I'm cooking some now.

The wood-stove is chasing all the dampness from today's rain away. Life is good.

:hi:

10. I'll bet you don't charge $14.50 for a bowl of your stew, and I'll
bet yours is a helluva lot better than any restaurant stew too! :)

9. My husband's favorite expression:
"If they're gonna charge THAT for food, they'd better suck my dick too!" I'll bet those prices include scenery AND wildlife fun! :P

11. LOL

I may have been married to your husband's best friend because I've heard that statement more than once.

I chased a huge black bear out of my yard the first winter here. Maybe I should open a bed and breakfast.

12. Probably so!
 Actually, one of his good friends thought that was so funny that he started using it himself. This was a long time ago. Hmmm.... I wonder...

The only wildlife we get in our yard would be rabbits, squirrels, birds, and the occasional raccoon. :P I'll bet it was fun chasing a black bear away!

Oh, and if you do open a bed & breakfast, let me know---I'd love to visit!

13. I was only teasing about the B & B.

But I do drive south to visit Sugar Smack, perhaps we can find a mess of catfish and hush-puppies somewhere. :)
