5. 35-40 MPH on the freeways. 15-20 on surface roads.
I grew up in, and learned how to drive in Boston, so the ineptetude of SoCal rain-drivers pisses me off too!
And thes who freak out on the rain-slicked roadways are still driving with the damn cellphone tucked in their necks!

6. I've had to deal with this crap my whole life.
Yeah, So Cal rain drivers really piss me off. And all the accidents caused by the rain too. Check out the LA traffic map:

11. Tell me about it...
DH called me at work to tell me the weather was coming in two hours ago; when I checked the local weather radar online, I saw that big patch of yellow with only a little bit of green almost on us. Stepping outside, I smelled the Ocean, not just rain.

I snagged my company laptop from my desk docking station, went home for lunch and am still "working" here piggybacking on our home router next to our home computer, where I'm posting this. Almost didn't make it home, the few sprinkles that started falling when I was halfway home was enough to cause two accidents...

Telecommuting is great when you can do it. I'm just afraid I'm going to have to go back in a bit later and finish up a few signature items if they can get their part of the project done.

Haele

10. Buy me a plane ticket, I'm magical!
Last week, I left Chicago (where it was cold and miserable) for LA (where I was told it was rainy and miserable). As soon as I got to LA, the weather turned absolutely beautiful. It stayed that way all weekend. Then, as soon as I got to LAX to fly home, it got all cloudy and yucky. I called my husband while I was waiting for my flight and he said "You're lucky, it's been shitty and cold all weekend but right now it's gorgeous and 70 degrees."

See? I'm magical! I prefer American Airlines, by the way. ;)

Picky, picky. :P

And those of us not building arks are drowning in mudslides. It's been nasty around here.

20. Nah, Eureka's been hammered, too.
Central CA = San Jose, Montery, etc.

I'm in Sonoma County, so that counts as north, chickadee.

And we get our water from right here at the Russian River. Talk to the SF folks about the Hetch Hetchy thing....they're the ones with dibs on THAT water.

I miss the sunshine.

I just went to my window, to see what's what.....

And I spotted some fucking blue sky!

I did!

The sun is starting to come out as I type!

I think this damn storm is actually passing......

ALL RIGHT! It's about time!

I hope it's passing for everybody, north and south!

The whole damn state has had enough rain, IMHO!

:woohoo: :woohoo:

23. Please send it down here Peggy!
Being clinically depressed and with "SAD" issues, I need all the sunshine I can get.
Yesterday was beautiful! I went to the beach and took some pics, wearing shorts and sandals.
Today I'm wearing a sweater, long pants, socks and shoes.

Please make it stop!!!
