A guy noticed my DU shirt at the mall tonight.
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 08:11 PM by SmileyBoy
Tonight I had on a white T-shirt with the American flag with the DU logo right below it. Just as I was leaving the mall, a guy stopped me and said he noticed the shirt. He told me he had heard of the site, but that he wasn't a member, but he thought it would be interesting to become one. He told me that he was from New York, and that his brother was one of the people sprinting from the rubble of the tower collapse on 9/11. He sais he doesn't trust * or any of his minions. I told him to go log on and become a member, because we'd love to have him on board, and that we have about 88,000 members. But what was weird was that just as I was saying this, some big burly Larry The Cable Guy-looking dude (freeperish-looking) wearing a wifebeater was walking by and looking at us. I told the guy I was talking to that I had to go, and walked away from the big burly guy's path, to the other side of the mall exit, because I could just sense a confrontation coming on.

Anyway, I thought that was cool. This was the second time in the past couple years since I've had the shirt that somebody has noticed it and asked me about the site.

2. A shirt (flannel or other material) that has the sleeves cut off.
Like if I cut the sleeves off any of my t-shirts, for example.

3. Oh, of course!
As soon as I read your description, a picture of it sprang into my mind!

I've seen them, but had never heard that name for them!

Thanks!

6. Same here
They are called "A Shirts" - my son loves them (he's only 12 and not a wifebeater)

4. I'm going to wear mine April 29th in NYC
For the peace march. After the Easter break, I'm going to ask DUers if they'd like me to print their username on it, so those who can't be there can "still march" !
