having trouble with my browser...any help? |
|
all the sudden, I am having trouble with links - I use firefox-
I click and nothing happens. I right click and sometimes there's an option for opening link in new window or tab, and those choices work okay, but nada if I just click like regular. I have restarted my computer and firefox numerous times.
some links work just fine, others not at all, some the way I describe above.
I also had some trouble with my shortcut on my desktop, I double click it and nothing- won't open firefox. I had to right click and click open.
any thoughts?

Seriously, I can't imagine what is wrong. I hate it when computers go wrong in wierd ways like that. Try rebooting your PC. Fixes 90% of wierd problems. :)

just now the firefox icon on my desktop stopped working altogether- nothing. I restarted the computer and then it worked by double clicking. wtf? It goes, it stops going- I can't figure this shit out! I never had to reboot before, why now all of the fucking sudden? nothing changed on my end!
:grr:
I can't even click on the smilies link to properly look up the grrrrrr smilie! no response whatsoever! so....if I am wrong, it'll just have to stay that way. I can't do spell check either, but post message works! ?

Reboot your computer, and as you do, turn off the modem. Leave it off for about 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
I have to do this about once a day.
You might wanna put a towel underneath it just in case. :D

Do you have an icon named Firefox Setup? Click on it to reinstall Firefox. I didn't even delete the old copy and everything's worked fine

I've been having problems with Firefox today too. Everytime I would reboot Firefox wouldn't be able to connect but Internet Explorer would.
