You know when you are enjoying a nice day, relaxing in the checkout line |
|
kind of enjoying having an older wiser person in front of you, fumbling for change....because they remind you both of your grandparents and the need to slow down sometimes...
And then some rude assed pansy shithead motherfucker who thinks that whatever they are doing, saying or thinking is WAYYY more important than whatever anyone is doing, saying or thinking makes some snappy comment about taking too long, and rudely throws the cashier a dollar to hurry things up?
Just chaps your ass, doesn't it?

been appalled at the way the person behind me was acting. They are probably the same ones that talk on their cell phone while being waited on and still hold up the line.

I guess the only funny thing I thought of today was the liquor bunny. But, that was during cocktail hour.

(it was a sharp nickel) ... making it impossible for him to every type again. Alas, he can no longer even attempt to communicate.

15. Well, he wasn't entirely "otherwise unharmed". |
|
As he suddenly grabbed at his throat with his wounded fingers, he lost his balance and fell into the cart behind him. The cart was filled with eggs (this all happened BEFORE Easter). And I do mean filled. At least 24 dozen. Poor fellow ... he got more egg on his face than anyone ever has had. That doesn't sound too bad, does it? Ah, but he was allergic to eggs! He instantly broke out in a nasty rash and had to spend the entire afternoon in the hospital -- without his cell phone or dollar bills. Guess who his nurse was?

20. Well, first you have to quit your job, learn to bartend, and start school |
|
then, after taking years of classes with nutty eastern philosophy teachers, and Latin Nazis...you beg to get into Divinity School.
It's been a long haul for me; I dropped out of college a long time ago to go to paramedic school. So I had to start from scratch. I knew the whole thing would take 7 or 8 years---then I got married, and that kind of added on another year with moving and getting settled down.
It's a stretch... just class after class, and paper after paper.

21. So, it's similar to becoming a parish minister? |
|
I'm familiar with that ... harleydad was a minister for 11 years, way back in our distant past. (He may go back to it.) I think I should have an honorary M.Div. for all those papers I typed up.
Like he always says, the time will go by anyway. You might as well have something you want at the end of it.
But won't your paramedic training help? At least you'll know what they're talking about.
