92 predicted for Houston today. What global warming? |
|
My yard looks like the Sahara Desert. I saw three camels packing canteens yesterday. Whatever happened to having spring showers in April?

7. In any Aussie desert. Which is the harshest desert to live in. |
|
But pretty specialised to the Aussie deserts. That and in just 100 years we managed to almost obliterate the entire Aboriginal culture. Quite a few langauges are extinct, to be precise.

5. I like warm weather but that is too much too soon. |

I hate seeing a parched earth. The farmers must need a good irrigation system to eke out a crop.

6. Out of curiosity, how parched do you consider parched? |
|
How large and deep cracks in the ground? Just surface?

|
our normal highs for this time of year MIGHT reach 60° on a good day, but it's been in the 70s for the past couple weeks.
No, no global warming, nuh-uh. But now I can grow pineapples and oranges outdoors.

in the summer, in the Outback (Alice Springs, to be precise). Damn, it gets hot there. But this weather we're having where I live is only spring. In the summer, it's going to get much hotter. :)

Seriously, ugh - it's awful. I've been spending a lot of time around the Hill Country, which has had horrible droughts and fires. :(
