Best Protein Powder for Evening Meal Replacement? |
|
I'm thinking about attempting to lose weight partly by skipping an evening meal. I'll still need some nourishment in the early evening, though.
Was thinking about shakes of protein powder, soy or skim milk, and frozen fruit.
What kind of protein powder would you (those in the know) recommend?
Will be reading - can't reply.
Thanks!

1. I'd eat a chicken breast rather than any powder |
|
Tastier, more options of cooking it, and it's lean.

2. A handful of carrots would be far better, and a lot cheaper. Plus your |

body actually burns calories while eating and digesting them.
Also, work out first thing in the morning, before you eat. That way your body burns off stored fat, not the food you just ate.

4. If You Want To Go The Shake Route... |
|
The Slim Fast Low Carb has 20 grams of protein in it and I think only 2 grams of carbs. Look for something with max protein as it will satisfy any hunger better.

5. Don't skip the evening meal |
|
if anything, the mild successes I've had was when I've used the protien shake (in conjunction with some oatmeal) for breakfast.
I usually try to save the bulk of my carbohydrates for the evening meal and my doctor suggested that I try not to eat after 6pm, 8pm if I know I'm up late that night.
