Think about this. The 10K track record equates to running better than a 13 second 100 meters and then running 100 of them IN... A.... ROW.

99.9% of the world population would have to train for months to run ONE 13 second 100 meters (= 109 yards).
I ran a 10K 6 years ago and I was amazed at how soon I saw the Kenyans (and one runner from Poland). Amazing.
