In praise of the humble potato.
Made a beer can chicken yesterday. You have to plug up the top of the chicken with something to prevent the beer from leaking out, so I used a potato. Grilled for about 90 minutes at 350 degrees F. Had rice with the chicken so I put the potato away.

I was hungry today but not enough to eat a full meal. So I took my beer can chicken potato, microwaved it to heat up, and had it with a little butter, garlic and salt. It hit the spot perfectly, and served double duty as both chicken stopper and meal.

Potatoes. Is there anything they CAN'T do?
