Say something nice about the opposite sex
I must say, one thing that always impresses me about women is how so many of the ones I know are always up on the latest trends. And I don't mean just fasion and crap like that. New items that could make your life easier, or different medical treatments, things like that.
I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to do something, or had a problem and some woman has suggested some product I'd never heard of before to help me out.
Guys aren't like that... if it doesn't have any immediate application men usually don't care about it. So we block out alot of stuff that we should learn about and store.

Where do I start?

Men can be so smart, funny, strong (both mentally and physically).....

I like having men around! They liven the joint up!

11. Most of the men I've known
have far better senses of humour than most of the women I've known. They can laugh at anything from complex Latin wordplay to poop jokes; complex irony to the Three Stooges.

Men are generally speaking, somewhat less inclined to love conditionally. When a man loves a woman, he's not concerned with what her care plans are. She can be a CPA or a waitress in a sleezy dive; she can be a doctor or hootchi-cootchi dancer; he's in love and he's not embarrassed about her or her career choices.

13. While I could never do without my female friends, I also love having
men in my life. Oftentimes their take on something is different than mine, even if we are on the same side of an issue.

I especially appreciate men who are secure enough in their own skin that they are not threatened by who I am -- a strong, smart woman. I love strong, smart men (strong mentally, more so than physically though that's nice too).

And, a man can make me feel sexy! :toast:

Edited on Mon Apr-17-06 08:33 PM by ZombieNixon
Actually, since I am referring to women in the plural, the pronoun in that sentence should be "you," which at that point in time was used to signify the second person plural only, not the singular...:boring:

Oh, right, counting the ways...um...1 ()...2 (:o)...3 (:wow:)...

Really, women are beautiful...just...wow (:wow: <- wow). And not just physically, either, because it's really refreshing to hear a woman's perspective on matters of everything from everyday life to deep personal dealings. Just...wow. :loveya:

The majority of guys I've known were/are more laid back then the chicks I know, less judgmental, and had/have a better sense of humor. Plus I can drink with them. I haven't yet met a chick who I can drink all night with.... let alone really party at all. Dudes are cool.

Women have prettier breasts than men.
Additionally, they tend to be more grounded.

Yes, I know there are some women who are unrealistic about the way things work, but they are generally those who have been sheltered. Men, on the other hand, may have been paying the bills for 20 years, and they STILL don't get it.

I don't know from much beyond my own experience, but I do know this: my wife knows how things work. We have fallen on tough times financially over the past year, and I know for a FACT that I would be either in the poor house or the nut house right now if not for her. She keeps me sane. My male friends would be trying to convince me to go out drinking/to the concert/to the strip club. But dolo reminds me of what's really important -- and, just as importantly, what's not.

She knows what matters far better than I do. That's why chicks rule.

20. They can double your self-esteem in 2 secinds flat, even as a friend.
I've never sung in my life, but the other day one of my flatmates said I had a beautiful serenáde!
Could have knocked me down with a feather!

And they make for good conversation too... and they seem to be much more self-sacrificing than guys.

There are two other things, and I may get flamed but shucks,

1) When babes clean something, it tends to be much better cleaned. Same for cooking.
2) I think you can glean something else men love about women from the following satirical passage from a Terry Pratchet book: '....and the Madam advises them that the first step to getting the attention of a man is to make eye contact, which many find difficult, not because of shyness but due to the fact a women's eyes are not located in her chest'

25. It seems that men can change gears faster than women can.
I get so impressed when my husband can just turn off the stress and problems of his day and focus happily on either me or our daughter. I always need a good 20-30 minutes to unwind before giving other things or people my full attention. I've always been envious of him over this.

I also prefer man hugs over woman hugs. :)

33. Women are more in touch emotionally than men.
When I'm with a group of men, the conversation inevitably turns to sports, or women as sex objects, or work. Women seem to able to talk about a wide variety of intense emotional subjects, which I find far more interesting 99% of the time.

Also, women look much better in that pink flowery nightie thing you're wearing they wear. And how about that Red Sox game today? Nah, I wasn't at work, I'm on vacation. :D

36. Women are pretty and soft and intuitive and caring and MUCH smarter
than they ever give themselves credit for, and they smell good and feel good to hold, and they're peachy and loveable, and they are what makes life worth living if you're a guy.

Every time I hear the word "lesbian" used in a perjorative sense, I wonder: "Wait a minute. I like women. So why shouldn't women like women?" They're awfully easy to like, after all.

(No offense intended to male DUers who happen to like guys rather than women. To each his own, and if you know me at all you know that I mean that.)
