Good Tuesday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
Welcome to an extra special, jim dandy early edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: Today is my first day back to work after an eleven day vacation, and I have to be there at 6am. So, here I am before 4. :woohoo: What a way to go back to work, huh? I like to get up early...but THIS is crazy early! The good thing is, I'll be off work at 2 in the afternoon, so I'll have all of the rest of the day to myself.

I saw in another thread this morning that Heidi and Call Me Wesley have an anniversary today! I want to extend a very special Congratulations to them for this milestone!:bounce: You two are the greatest! :loveya:

With that, let's get this thing started! :woohoo: Rise and shine, people! It's going to be a fantastic day! :bounce:

13. Everything is OK, just tired.
I canned almost 50 pints of Dewberry Jelly today, even with the ac going it was hot.

It is good to be back home after almost 2 months, I really missed home and DU.

17. 50 pints?? Wow!
Holey moley! And so here I'm going to show my ignorance...what the heck are dewberrys? Are they like elderberrys? You were gone for 2 months...I had a hard time being away from home and DU for 7 days...I can't imagine two months!

25. Dewberrys are blackberrys, and very tasty in pies and jelly.
I picked them on my Aunt's farm down by the river, nice big ones. I have enough juice for two more years in the freezer.

My Aunt was ill and I was staying with her, took longer then I thought it would but she is almost well.

I did enjoy the country but I missed my computer.

I'm sorry your Aunt was ill. I'm sure she was glad to have you there to help her until she got better, though. It was sweet of you to do that. Family is important! I can't imagine being away from my computer for 2 months like that...I can understand how you'd miss something like that so badly!

44. I felt so out of the loop without my computer but it was good also to be
away for a few months.

When I did get home my old computer died on me so I had to get a new laptop, I am still learning my way around it.

This new computer is more computer then I am used to.

5. Good Morning, Miss Buffy!
:hi::hug:
I had a great time on my trip, thank you! It was SO good to see my parents and go to all my old haunts again. I love to go to flea markets and antique malls and since there aren't any in Tallahassee at all, I went to ALL of them in Springfield! :woohoo: The worst part of the trip was the freaking drive up there and back. x( Although, I did make in just over 13 hours instead of 16 1/2! :woohoo: I don't know how I did that (I didn't speed at all and set my cruise at the speed limit), but I did!

I'm glad to be back though and be sleeping in my OWN bed! How was YOUR week last week?

19. The weekdays were normal
as were Saturday and Sunday.

Monday morning came with the Holy Roller and we ended up having a huge blowout. I finally went off on her about the singing, the jumping up and down & yelling Amen/Praise the Lord to the TV and yelling her conversations into the phone. It ended up being a screaming bout with expletives and threats going everywhere. She was standing in my face waving and poking a pen a few inches from my eyes, while I never moved from my seated position on the couch. I felt like getting up (as I'm several inches taller and easily outweigh her) but I decided to stay there until if and when I felt a distinct threat. I figured I'd let it remain a situation where she was the only one making any threatening moves, just in case she went whining to anyone about it.

And she's going on and on about how if her singing and shouting bothers me so much that I should quit. I was like, "That's not how it works--when somebody is creating a hostile working environment that makes it unbearable for multiple employees, it is not the other employees who have to leave or change their behavior, it is the person who is causing the problem".

So after more arguing she finally gets around to, "Well if my singing bothered you so much, why didn't you say something sooner instead of reporting it to the office?" and then "I'll do my best to keep things down from now on."

:banghead:

Of course, as far as the thing with reporting it to the office, it's obvious they weren't going to do anything about it. It's been weeks since my third report (the one where they decided to contact the other employees as well--and I know they did so). Apparently the fact that she's torturing multiple employees isn't a big enough concern for them. Accordingly I'm never reporting anything to them again, as they are useless IMO. My new meme is "I see and hear nothing".

24. Good gods.
I'm sorry they didn't do anything to rectify the problem for everyone. People like that woman need pushed down, and I mean literally! I'm glad you had the guts to tell her to shut her freakin mouth! Now, hopefully, she'll stay quiet! I guess we'll just have to wait and see, huh? I would have been pulling my hair out with her yammering also, so if I worked there, I'd have been right there beside you to make her understand what a nuisance she is! :loveya:

39. I still don't think she got it (or maybe just doesn't give a crap)
But one of the others who hated her garbage relieved me, and I have a feeling they ended up having a chat because while she and I were going at it I slipped and told her how that other person hated listening to her crap. (oops ) I'll just have to wait until next weekend to see what happens.

In the meantime my brain is still going haywire because I can't get that whole incident to stop replaying.

When the weather is about 20 degrees warmer, I'll be out pinching flower blooms with my first cup of coffee. This is the time of year when I become restless.

the history of Prague goes back some centuries and you find buildings from all periods. It is like your walk through the centuries. It is just breathtaking.

I think also it was very sweet of him. It means a lot to me. No one did that before. The last bf who called me while I was on vacation with my mom had less nice things in mind. That bf back then called because he had to control me. Now M just called because he missed me and wanted to stay in contact.

Also, I like Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, which goes for 1hr 12 mins, I think, so it isn't THAT long a song.

Freude schöner Götterfunken tochter aus Elysium.

41. Yes, yes, I know...those classical pieces go on forever!
I would be bored with it long before it was over with. My favorite classical pieces are the "Hooked On Classics" mixes.

47. So I hear! Classical is the 1000* better thing to have in the background,
it goes forever.

And you can chop little bits out of classical and set them to movies to great effect. See 'Ride Of The Valkyries' and Apocalypse Now. ;)

58. Any song, any time. ;)
I am after all the music I can get as of either now or tomorrow, depending on whether or not you've left.

Send 'em all! (If it's not too trouble some) It costs nothing to keep it in gmail, after all. Costs only incurred in downloading. 16-32c a song is very cheap from my perpective.
