4. Why? It's faster than paying in cash and waiting for change. |
|
At Starbucks they swipe my card and hand me back the card and receipt faster than they could open the till and make change if I paid in cash.

6. And the folks at the Starbucks near work.... |
|
Start making my coffee before I get to the register--Venti NoFat Latte.
I don't build my social life around Starbuck's. But it's handy.

5. Well, I only ask for it this way because all the Dunkin Donuts coffees |
|
are nothing but milk&sugar bombs by default.
Dark makes them put less milk in One splenda makes it more difficult for them to screw up and toss four teaspoons of sugar in milk instead of cream

14. maybe it is a debit card, & like me they don't bother to carry |
|
cash anymore. I use my debit card to buy coffee at work and at Starbucks or other coffee places when I stop in. It is faster than making change, and it always works.

3. Nobody orders a latte with "room for cream." |
|
A latte comes loaded with steamed milk.

10. OK ...I wasn't sure what goes in a latte |
|
but I noticed about 14 months ago...suddenly every coffee shop I went in they started all asking...(about my Medium size reg coffee...dark) "do you want room for cream"
Now, all my life (48 yrs) been drinking coffee and they give you coffee. Suddenly in every place I go they are asking 'do you want room for cream?" So...this annoys me...
Maybe I'm just being grumpy today...too much caffeine.

16. I actually appreciate the room for cream question..see if they |
|
fill it too full, then you go over to the table with the cream and milk pitchers, you can't get your coffee as light as you like it, because there isn't enough room for the cream.
Now folks who like their coffee dark or black, wouldn't care, but us folks who like it light really appreciate it.
Back in my Boston days, I ordered coffee light, no sugar. Perfect every time.
Now asking for room for cream in a latte is just silly. If you want a latte with a little more body, then let the barrista use whole milk. Skim foams better, and makes a prettier cup.
And a latte doesnt' need whipped cream on top either. Now a regular hot mocha demands whipped cream on top.
I love half & half in my normal coffee, I give up other things to have those points for the half/half every morning. I make cappucino and lattes at home which allow me to use skim milk and I don't have to keep half/half in the house.

13. oh yeah...I talk to people who don't realize they don't have an |
|
escrow account for their taxes until the delinquent tax bill arrives on their doorstep..
duh...so that'a why my house payment was so much less than I expected ....
and they don't know their loan numbers
I am continually amazed at the things people don't know...or even better they stuff they think they really do know that is essentially dead wrong. I managed to know these things sort of picked up by osmosis, paying attention during the lending process, closing meeting,e tc.

17. Oh my god I feel your pain. |
|
When people call me and want info, but don't know their loan numbers I get so aggravated. Sure I can look it up with your social, but I have to go to a different screen and will you shut up long enough for me to get there? We have a queue at work, and these people think they're buying a big screen tv at best buy rather than asking us for help because THEY are behind on their mortgage payment. Just ticks me off. They want me to kiss their ass, and I'm sorry...that's NOT happening. Duckie

I always get special service with a smile. At one time I was the nameless_faceless person on the other side of the counter so I try to make their day a little happier by thanking them for doing their job.
