Need help with a Jim Carrey skit...
A friend of mine told me that about 5 or 6 years ago, he remembered seeing a Jim Carrey spoof of "60 Minutes." Basically, the entire skit consisted of "I'm Mike Wallace, I'm Morley Safer, I'm Ed Bradley, and I'm Jim Carrey." That's all he remembers.

I have searched the Internets far and wide and can't seem to come up with anything on it. I did find one mention of it on a cached page of some discussion forum, but that has since disappeared.

I suppose my questions are as follows:

#1) Did this clip happen? (Does anyone else remember seeing it?)
#2) If so, do you remember when and where you saw it?
#3) If so, Do you know where I might find a video clip of this skit?

Thanks in advance.

1. #1 Probably
Early in his career, Jim Carrey did facial impressions--he could morph his face into Leonid Brezhnev, James Dean, Henry Fonda, etc. So appearing as Mike Wallace etc would be within his capabilities.

Sorry I can't be of more help though.

2. actually...
...Carrey wasn't impersonating them. He just tacked on his "and I'm Jim Carrey" at the end of the regular 60 Minutes opening. He was on the same set and everything. The transcript would be more like this:

Mike Wallace: I'm Mike Wallace
Morley Safer: I'm Morley Safer
Ed Bradley: I'm Ed Bradley
Jim Carrey: And I'm Jim Carrey

Then I think someone (unknown to me) says, "All this and Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes" or something like that.

3. Oh well
In that case I was even less help than I thought! :+

Dang Internets. They're supposed to be the repository of all human knowledge, and then they just fail you...
