An encounter with the dark side
So I'm driving home from the gym, and I pull onto a Philly street that is down to one lane because of construction. I am stopped in a line of cars at a red light. Suddenly from behind me a big ass black SUV pulls beside me then nudges his freaking bumper in front of me. He must have had to pull up on the sidewalk to get around me. I'm aghast, because the traffic is at a stop except for this asswipe apparently trying to weave between stand still cars. The guy is about an inch from my front bumper, he actually had to look out his window to make sure he wasn't hitting my car!

So I decide not to play chicken with the monstrosity in my little Z3. I let him the rest of the way in. As he passed in front of me I notice he has a Bush/Cheney sticker on his rear bumper.

At this point I thought- OF COURSE!. That is so right. The guy is a total asshole, so he must be a Bushie! I watched him swerve aorund the car in front of me and run the red light. Ahhh, the Republican Party, haven for all the nation's true cretins.

What an asshole - of course he's a Republican. Selfish assholes who think the rules are for other people always are.

With a trigger on the steering wheel.
Day-Glow orange loads.

SPLAAATTTT!!!

That's what I want.

6. It's always the Die Hard Bush supporters.
How I wish they would get their wish and die hard.

Had a similar incident yesterday with an SUV with "Viva Bush!" bumper sticker. :eyes:

7. back when I used to commute out of Detroit during rush hour
I was stuck in stop and go - due to an accident - for fifteen minutes or more. Everyone was impatient. Shortly after the accident is passed the traffic flow begins to speed up - but nowhere to the speed that was often common (speed limit was 55, average speed usually was 70 - but at this point maybe only up to 60) - and this guy comes from behind me and passes on the right and crosses three lanes of traffic - then zigs back to pass (in a middle lane) another car on the right.

I am thinking - generally after a serious wreck, despite the impatience, folks are not this reckless... and that this driver would be lucky if he didn't cause a wreck.

Not two or three minutes later I come to a big curve in the highway - and there the car is, crashed into the cement divider spun around about 160 degrees. I must have come up to the part of the highway within a minute of the accident. I knew the next exit was a state police post (this was before cell phones were omni present) - so I pulled off to let them know - to prevent more accidents. Also mentioned having witnessed the dude weaving recklessly through traffic.

Several weeks later the state police came to my apt to interview and to line me up if the guy contested charges in court (in the end he didn't, so I never had to go to court.)

Oh - earlier that year, rabid Republican John Engler was elected to his first term as governor. Always suspected (nothing more than a gut sense) that the dangerous dude was one of those responsible for the Engler train wreck.
