American Idol tonight!!
My addiction to this show has reached new heights. It's sickening. I'm sitting here counting down the hours until it starts...which really sucks because I'm on the West Coast and I've still got 4 hours left to go.

Vote for Elliott!!!!

2. I am a closet Idol fan too.
It's embarrassing. I can't admit that I watch it to anyone I know, and I have found myself more than once making up another excuse for why I can't do anything on Tuesday nights.

I must disagree with you on the Elliott thing, though. I don't like him. I'm rooting for Paris Bennett and Katherine McPhee.

my big Gap terry cloth bathrobe. She's not doing it for me tonight, too canned and too standard really. Here's what simon had to say, Randy always says the same Randy boring shit (he didn't like it), Paula will like it, Simon's the only real one: Simon says she's not as good as Whitney, he didn't like the song. It sucked.

Her cleavage won't win votes tonight....

At least The Pick knows when she screws up...

Katherine and Elliot have been the best tonight... although poor Elliott always bores me... however, I'd buy a cd of his in a sec, just not a concert ticket. Katherine was better than the judges said... imo.

I bet Paris will be voted off before Kellie will...Kellie is a unidimensional country singer, which is good for country but far from being Idol material....

45. Pickler should have been gone weeks ago.
I have a feeling that a significant part of her voting base are hormonally overloaded teenage guys who caught site of her prom dress photo and her stage humping routine during Queen week.

When I saw Katherine displaying her talents last night I figured it was a grab for that part of Kellie's base. Sort of..."if I have to bare flesh to get push this no-talent fake bimbo to the bottom rung so be it."

14. Crosspost: "A Song for You " is a Carpenters' song, dammit!
Just like "Superstar." (although it's also okay to call it a Bette Midler song). Karen Carpenter is the one who made all these songs well known but does she get the credit? One of the top female voices ever? NO.

Drives me bonkers.

Had to. Had company over. It was worth missing Idol, as I made a new friend with things in common. She's busy at grad school now, but I hope to get to know her more.

Anyway, I voted for Katharine only as she's my favorite - and a constant. It would be hard to top her performance from last week, though.

Elliot has grown on me, but just not enough at this point. He's convinced me that he belongs in the final 12, but that's it. He's bland. He seems like a nice guy, but otherwise when he sings it's just...I don't know...nothing. He doesn't do it for me, and I think many other people.
