What happened to Barney McGuigan (as described in the book and depicted in Greengrass's film) upset me the most.

In Bloody Sunday, the pro-civil rights Protestant politician played by James Nesbit makes the point that the shootings virtually guaranteed an upsurge in IRA recruitment. It's something we're still dealing with to this day. :-(
