But currently at 8-11 and 6 games behind the white sox in the AL central is......suck.
I think they'll eventually do much better than that, but currently.....suck.

Yeah I do too. I use to kind of like the Red Sox because I felt sorry for the suckers but meh ever since they won in 2004 they've been acting like they've been great all along which gets them on my shit list. I shouldn't be whining about being an O's fan I guess because in the twenty five years before I was born they were among hte best in baseball. Oriole magic though seems to have disappeared.

I had two really nice years of baseball, 96 and 97 both didn't end how I wanted. I miss Ripken so much. He was my favorite player. Ironic and unfair that the Yankees get to benefit off of his legacy since Jeter and A-Rod both were inspired by Ripken's play. Sigh I guess that's the way the world works. There will be some day where the Yanks and Sox both will suck major ass and the small market teams with heart will prevail.

I miss guys like Brett, Otis and MacRae. Although Brett still lives here and does some radio. He has some kind of scouting job with the Royals, too. I don't think they listen to him much.

I do think some people in the Washington Metro Area have lied though by saying they never cared about the Orioles anyhow. I know damn well that we had a lot of O's fans when I was in fourth and fifth grade. Now the DC Metro Area being well the DC Metro Area has always had people who don't root for their teams but there are some who act like they never gave a damn about the Orioles they did until Angelos ruined the team and when Ripken retired.

Of retaining those fans by his petulent behavior towards the Nationals, and in particular preventing games from being televised. Fact is, American League and National League baseball are different experiences, and baseball people have the opportunity to see both now. But I have to tell you, as much as I love Camden Yards, I am so ticked at Angelos and his behavior I have no desire to line his pockets.

I generally dont care about sports politics but it irriates me that Angelos a guy who made his living fighting for working people is now endorsing Bob Ehrlich's reelection campaign. Thank god I live in Virginia where we have a Dem governor. Angelos really is a condescending prick in so many ways. Firing Johnson is why they got setback and losing Mussina oh man that hurt.

45. Ruining Allen's presidential ambitions would be a bonus this year |
|
Rick Santorum's rise in the Republican leadership is going to be disrupted by Bob Casey too. If Santorum were to win next year he would likely become whip. Yeah wikipedia says that Angelos is likely endorsing Ehrlich because he's pissed that Marty O'Malley supported the founding of the Nationals. If that's the case then why can't he just support Doug Duncan. Angelos was intially a decent owner and I appreciate how he got where he got through fighting for workers rights which is what I want to do but he's a terrible owner and just a deciteful jerk. The way he's acted during the Nationals thing is upsetting and I understand why people are hostile to hte O's, I just can't let an old team die and I like Camden Yards and the current Orioles team beter than RFK and the Nats.
