Just about every episode had someone sit down to a meal. I used to call it "Eaterprise" because of that. Chef was mentioned frequently but never seen.

37. ACTUALLY "Pete and Gladys" was a spin-off in which
Gladys was seen and portrayed by Cara Williams.

The original show, the one in which Harry Morgan, playing a neighbor, told jokes about his never-seen wife Gladys, was December Bride, starring Spring Byington as an older woman who lived with her daughter and son-in-law.

24. Y'all are very quick. Thanks!
and sharp. You thought of a bunch that we missed. I had to look up John Beresford Tipton, Gladys, and Kaiser Soze, because I had no idea who they were.

The only ones we thought of that I don't see so far are Larry Mondello's father, Mrs. Columbo, and Deep Throat. I thought I had another one with the Big Giant Head, but my husband now informs me that I am wrong and that William Shatner showed up in the part. Good casting, anyway.

48. May not technically qualify, but: Remington Steele?
Didn't the female detective make up the name for her investigation company? Then Pierce Brosnan's character assumed the name for himself, but his actual name was never revealed in the series...to my recollection.
