Naturally occurring in this world, is there such a thing as justice?
is there a karmic balance?

is it true that what goes around come around?

if you do good things, will good things come back to you? If you do bad things will bad things come back to you?

Does doing the right thing have value? Is that value tangible, that is, does one get rewarded for being a good person? Or are the rewards, if any, intangible?

What about the saying "no good deed goes unpunished"?

What do you think about this issue?

1. My dear leftofthedial!
You've raised a lot of questions here!

And the answers don't come easily, either......

I suspect that whatever justice there is, is made, and enforced, by people!

I do believe that doing the right thing has value, however!

The value is tangible in that you feel the reward inside yourself...

Otherwise, I don't know.....

Good to see you tonight!

2. no good deed goes unpunished
that statement is closest to the truth, in that it actually contains a grain of truth

karmic balance and "what comes around goes around" are just lies to stop people from trying to get justice, if you have v. basic powers of observation you can see very well that there is no karmic balance

most of the time, evil triumphs, that is the second law of thermodynamics

if you want justice, you are going to have to fight for it because it is not nature

4. Eventually
But really, a single individual is too small, too insignificant to expect everything that happens to us to be vindicated by karma.

... If that makes sense. I need sleep...

5. I suggest that you should perceive justice beyond a personal level.
Yes, justice prevails all of the time on this earthly plane. There are lots of good people out there fighting for it. Justice must be sought and instituted in all of society.

To reduce or limit the concept of justice to merely a personal balance is to deny your/our/my purpose on the planet.

Seek justice for others, before yourself.

6. If so, your scope of observation is likely too limited to perceive it

7. Not exactly
Most of life is random. "Justice" and "karma" are human constructs that we project onto the world. Good deeds are valuable because they are good, though you may not receive any reward for them--their value is inherent. If you do good things, you add to the amount of good in the system, and you might eventually receive a benefit from that, but it's way more complex than tit-for-tat karma.

8. There is no karmic balance.
My doctor often says there is. I usually get mad at her and say I'm paying for science, not fairy stories. She says the karmic cycle is 15 years. Whatever.
