7. I remember back in the day
Watching some track meet on ABC's Wide World of Sports. They were showing the pole vault, guy goes running up, plants his pole, starts his lift, and the pole snapped. The poor guy landed on the pointed in which went into his midsection. The poor guy lived, but I think he dropped track and field from his life.
