They're far more obedient, and are always glad to see you, and never embarrassed to be seen with you.

1. Do you have a border collie, MissMillie?
My brother had the most wonderful border collie. Beautiful, scary smart, and heartbreakingly loyal. I loved her to pieces.

3. no, I have a son
And let's just say.... oh hell, I don't know what to say.

He earned a 4 year scholarship and now not only has he failed to take the SATs but he has failed 2 classes for the second quarter in a row.

He's 4 weeks away from graduating, but it's looking like he's not going to graduate.

He's 18 and of course, thinks I know nothing and apparently thinks that all of this is just fine and dandy.

8. I'm so sorry, MissMillie.
Is he the son who's thinking about joining the military?

11. He insists that he isn't
but ya know, he also told me that he took the SATs in January.

I can't begin to know what he's thinking anymore. It's like I don't even know him.

12. Probably because he doesn't know himself...
Think he'd go for counseling?

I remember having crisis points like that when I was in college. Fear of failing can make a kid determined to fail on purpose.

13. Mist, our full-bred border collie liked to round up the cats
at mealtime. They weren't too keen on that at first, but got used to it after awhile.

Wolfgang, who's a mix, crouches like Mist did; but he's more interested in herding frisbees or tennis balls. :hi:

Well, here's our baby. She's not a border collie, but we love her anyway.

7. I don't have a dog, I have a kid
and I wish he were half as obedient as a border collie.
