3. We Louisville high school students will have the day before Derby off

It sounds exciting, but like last year I have an AP History exam to take on my day off, so I will just spend Derby Day sitting around the house feeling relieved to be done with it.

4. Unfortunatly I have to work Oaks day...

but that took the wife and I by surprise when we found out the schools closed for it...we've only lived here 18 years...
For those that don't know it the the Oaks is the day for the ladies. It's a filly's race run the Friday before Derby...
The winner gets a garland of lily's instead of roses...

7. Ahh Derby Day

should call up the Kentucky folk and see if Dad's going to the Spaghetti Factory Derby Day. Some how or another that's become a tradition for him . . to have spaghetti on derby day.
