Subtitled - I bought a new bottle of gin today.
As much as anything else it was an impluse buy - I was getting my newspaper and a couple of other things it was clear that the price was going to go over the few coins I had in my pocket, so I added a bottle of Plymouth Gin to the order and stuck it on the card. I did have to buy some new gin, I down to only one brand, and only half a bottle thereof too :scared:
Now (a few hours later), it's starting to sink into my veins - and all of the troubles of the world are melting away.

That's the nicest thing anybody's called me all day. :*
I'd be more than willing to share - but if you like something else to drink, you'll have to give me a bit of notice so I can pop to the shop.

But if your only motivation for coming to England is free booze from me - wouldn't the cheaper option be to buy some booze over there, rather than buy a plane ticket?
Sorry to be logical.

Time to kill off his liver, then get him deported for some bad behaviour whilst drunk - with plenty of incriminating pictures to post in the Lounge.

As it was sitting there surrounded by its new friends (the ice-cubes) and was tickled by the arrival of the tonic - it sang out to me in beautiful tones to thank me for buying it and drinking it.
I'm far from drunk matey :P this is only the first glass, my measures may well be triple what one gets served in absteemious places like pubs and bars, but it still takes more than one glass to get me drunk. What sort of light-weight do you think I am? :P
B.T.W. Have you managed to find any Plymouth Gin in the U.S.? It really is a heavenly nectar.

15. I'll just have to visit then |
|
and bring some with me.
I haven't found Navy Strength in the shops (this bottle was just bought at the village newsagent/shop) - but I'll see if it's available from their on-line shop.
I'd love to have you here - it would make the spring-time even more beautiful than it has been already this year. :loveya:

I'd love to mix a perfect gin and tonic for you - or a perfect dry martini. In the case of the latter, I keep a bottle of gin in the freezer so that it's always at the right temperature.

22. Life is beautiful anyway |
|
When I was walking to buy my newspaper (and later bottle of gin), there were some blue-tits who had just learned to fly - they were the most adorable little tiny things flying around barely more than 2 inches long. I can still hear birds singing in the garden, and I've got some gorgeous (indeed beyond gorgeous) renaissance polyphony playing, and a glass of gin here.
All of it adds that little bit of beautifulness to life. I'm not quite in a Hogarthian stage yet.

I don't do drunk.
Two gins and a couple of mouthfuls of a glass of wine - that's not enough to get me drunk, not nearly enough. :P
