Dark night of the soul....
Can you have a dark night of the soul at 3 in the afternoon?

I was just thinking of Raymond Chandler and he wrote "He was not a good man. But he was a good enough man for his world."

I aspire to nothing higher. What do you aspire to?

"Good enough" will do for me. But how do you want to be remembered?

1. As a fun, little bit silly person who meant no harm.

But I don't want to be remembered like this!

2. LOL!
No I don't want to remember you like that either!

So we'll go with "fun, silly, did no harm" and forget all about mousetraps!

10. "Romance is the cheese of existence
which holds you in place until the metal bar of life comes down and snaps your neck in two."

In Wisconsin though I was finding super-mice that would survive long enough to drag the trap away. Nasty little device that, but probably more merciful than a cat.

5. I would like to be remembered as a good person who helped
do good things.

I don't want to be remembered as that cripple who was always in pain.

7. My dear Khash.........
You can have a dark night of the soul any old time...even at 3 in the afternoon.....

I want to be remembered for these things:

As someone who loved, not always wisely, but too well......

Whose heart encompassed much joy, much grief, many secrets.......

As a wife....

And as a mom......

As a good-enough nurse......

As an artist, both with her words, and her pictures.....

And as a passionate patriot.....

13. I aspire to be
a cleaner of toilets (since I have cleaned over 10,000 of them), a compiler of family research, and an intellectual warrior against the forces of cruelty, greed, and untruth.

Summed up as "strange, but okay" or "eccentric".

15. I think technically
it's a dark "small snack after elevenses and lunch but before tea" time of the soul. But, damn it! I can't keep my misery to a schedule!

But, thank you, Douglas Adams, for your contribution to my depression :)

16. "I intend to live forever. Or die trying..." OR
"Untapped talent."

As so many people who know of me tell me.

17. if we are able to entertain the notion of having simultaneous 'best...
of times/worst of times', then it may be possible to inhabit a 'heart of darkness' at the stroke of 12 noon, yes
