Today was "Visit Dr. B Day", and they are avoiding me, and hissing at each other.
They're even ignoring their can of tuna.

1. We had a day like that yesterday. |
|
Rented a steam cleaner and a carpet shampooer to Spring clean the apt.
Those things are LOUD! The children hid somewhere all day. I was done by noon (yesterday), but I didn't see whisker one till **2 hours ago**. Couldn't lure them out with treats for the life of me!

4. Mine run whenever they see an appliance with an electric cord. |

Once I was getting out the Crockpot, and Binky went scurrying out as fast as she could. I actually have to apologize for using the vacuum cleaner... before AND after! :)

I have a funny cat grudge story.
The cat we had when I was growing up was the spawn of two ferals, and really only liked my mom. He did several heinous things to my dad and I (including absolutely destroying one of my Barbie dolls). Anyhow, we had a portable diswasher that we had to roll to the sink and hook up. My dad was out of town on business one time, and during that trip, my mom rolled the dishwasher over the cat's tail. He yowled, but seemed to get over it. When my dad came back, this cat gave him a wide berth for about 3 weeks, and when my dad would come close to him, the ears would pin back, the tail would get huge, and he would hiss something fierce.

29. Another good cat grudge story |
|
My wife's cat Louie, looks just like DU member Jukes, the cat on his profile, was pissed at her one day so he went into her bag and found her planner and pissed all over it. Didn't hit any of the other items, just the planner.

9. One of mine had "Free Rabies Shot Clinic" last week. |

He hated me for two days. Fortunately, there wasn't a line, just one really sweet, cute Pitbull ahead of us. Last time I went to one of these, I was on line for an hour.

14. I could never take them to something like that. |
|
They despise other animals. They think they're the only ones in the world. :) Just the trip over was traumatic enough. I take them to Green Bay, about 30 miles away, because they are older and need an excellent vet. On the up-side, it was easier getting them in the carriers on the way home!

cleaned Tuesday and had two teeth pulled because they were cracked. Terry got home Tuesday night and Ayja is still pissed at him. Now mind you Terry left Sunday, I took Ayja to the vet and I picked him up but he held out on showing anger until Ter got home. He loves me best so he refuses to get mad at me just looks around for a better target.

Do ferrets get angry going to the vet? Or are they too busy plotting their escape?

in second. Since I am here all the time to feed them and all. Plus I feed them on time and don't make them wait until I feel like it. BTW Ayja yowls the whole way to and from the vets. The ferrets don't seem to mind but then their vet gives them Nutrical while he is checking them out. They don't like the shots but the techs are very fast. Peachy gets talked about because she stays still until they just about have the needle in the whips herself right out of the way. Took four people to give the 1.5 lb ferret shots. They also get lots of attention from strangers so they tend to think it is great fun checking out new people and creatures. Ferrets have no fear, if they weighed a hundred pounds I think they would rule the world. Now if you really want to feel sorry for Terry, he thinks of Zaiden as his pet. The one of all that loves him best. Two weeks ago Ter took him to the the vet for an ear infection. Zaiden tried to eat the vet so he had to be knocked out. Today was recheck day and I went with them. Zaiden wasn't happy but he behaved perfectly and just snuggled his snout into my hands. Terry still hadn't forgiven me.

Nothing worse than mad cats. When mine get mad, once they're done ignoring me (sometimes DURING the 'ignore' process), they like to take turns at pulling all the toilet paper off the roll and then decorating the house with it.
Then they sit there and give me that cool, smug, satisfied 'cat' look.
Then, and ONLY then, I'm forgiven.

maybe I'll leave the bag of treats out for Oreo to break into. She chews through the foil wrapper to get to the goodies inside. (She also breaks into a full bag of catfood, chewing through the paper, in the middle of the bag!)
Yea, I call it Cattitude. :)

Myrtle is the culprit around here. She's the only one of the three who will chew through packaging. ANY packaging. I can't leave chicken to thaw in the sink because she'll chew through the butcher's paper.
The funniest thing is: the other two, Star and Flick, watch her do it. As if they could never master such a grand and glorious skill!

Picture three very anxious kitties with their frazzled Mom, driving from North Carolina to Wisconsin in mid-January, 2001. I think they've recovered - but I haven't.
