my boy is asleep on a blanket behind me |
|
as I type this. A few minutes ago, he rolled over onto his left side, which he's decided is his preferred way to sleep. This morning, before I showered and got dressed for work, I watched him sleeping in the same position. I could have watched him for hours.
He's elongating almost under my very eyes. No longer the butterball he was two months ago, he's on the verge of crawling and exhibits a good six-inch vertical in his bouncy seat. He thinks animals are the funniest things he's ever seen, and laughs out loud at any dog. He plays peek-a-boo with me around the kitchen counter. He turns the pages in books while I read (even if I'm not finished reading the current page). Last Saturday, his mother and I looked back at the videos from last fall when we first got him and marveled. On Sunday, he turned seven months old. I'm amazed.
I shared a lot of heartbreak with the lounge during our adoption journey. Thank you for listening to me whine.

I can relate to you as we have a three month old son. They do change so rapidly. I feel sometimes if I leave the room for a long period I will miss something. Our son has already got quite the giggle going on, it's quite humorous. Kids are great. Sounds as though you are a great father. Congrats to you.

11. My boy is asleep but not in my house. |
|
He's sleeping away at a school event. I miss the little guy, who is not so little any more -- nine.
My little girl is here under the roof, thankfully.
:loveya:
It's amazing how they change and how smart they are at such an amazingly young age.
