I am totally smitten with this precious new life.

Her mommy is really ill though :( She has an infection (a pocket of infection?) in her uterus and is in a great deal of pain. Her Dr says she might have to go into hospital to have it drained :( She's on antibiotics of course but can't do anything. No lifting baby, she can hold and feed her but that's about it. I worry about her a lot.

I'm back in Michigan and they are in Ontario. I'd love to have them move here, but Ashley is just so close to her family, the move would not be good for her. Not to mention immigration hassles.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ashley - I can understand your worry. I hope she improves very soon with treatment. At least she doesn't have to worry about hospital bills and the like...

Do you have to travel very far to see them? I see your in the State of confusion, so that could be anywhere in the US. :rofl:

I think you're in Michigan, correct? They're not that far, like Ottawa or Thunder Bay or anywhere like that? (which still wouldn't cut down on your worry! Just curious how easy it is to get there if help is needed)

Have you ever thought of going back to Ontario? I take it your hubby's a US citizen...

5. Yup I'm in Michigan

Hubby is a USA citizen. They live about 5 hours from here in Waterloo Ontario. It's far but not too far that I can't go if needed. I'm thinking about going up again next weekend. Rush trip, leave here on Saturday, home again Sunday. Hubby hates it when I do that though:(

I wouldn't mind living in Ontario again, but y'know ... when I go 'home' it doesn't feel like home anymore. It makes me sad to go there. I think I like my new life here.
