A woman walked up to my daughter and offered her a job today. |
|
We were in Abercrombie and this woman came up to us and asked my daughter where she lived and then asked her if she wanted a part time job working there. How bizarre is that?
My daughter turned her down (she's only 16 and doesn't have a car, plus she already has a job). But I was wondering what the woman would have said to me if I told her I'd take it. I'm 47 and obviously don't fit the Abercrombie mold - but she would have been in a tough situation because she wouldn't have been able to age-discriminate against me.

1. Abercrombie only hires models. |

It would have been interesting to see her reaction to you. I bet they'd have made some excuse.

3. That happened to my husband when he already had a job |

Not at Abercrombie but at a couple of other retailers before Bush was elected. Now that he needs a job, they don't approach him, probably because if they put a sign out, they get applicants pretty quickly.
