1. I would not be in too much of a hurry
it will be sad when you run out of new ones. I would advise against reading #5. It was lame and a downer IMO. The two volumes of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective agency were kinda fun though.

Read them too fast and all you want is the next one.

4. I would think of them more like Halloween candy
It kinda sucks after you have eaten it all by Nov. 3rd.
'"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best ----" and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.'

Also with Harry Potter, I was sorry that I read the fourth one.

11. I say get after it!
Quit wasting time on DU and get going! :P

I just logged on to check the river levels here in MN--ooooo--wweeeee! Are they ever heading UP. It's raining and cold, but the plans have been made. While you're reading, I'm going to be splashing around on a river under lead gray skies. It always a little tougher to get going on a rainy day, but it's still fun once you're out there.

I think the important thing is, we each have a goal. :)

Here's all the radio series. The "Primary" & "Secondary" were the original shows (which the first two books are based on), the rest made much more recently and themselves based on the other three Hitchhiker books.

Guide:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy_Tertiary_to_Quintessential_Phases

I'd come back to these when you're done with the books, although I'm personally less keen on the latter ones.

18. Read on. And avoid the recent film.
Ach. Never felt so violated. Well, in a theater. Well, by the film itself. :D

At least a tiny bit. :nopity:
