But you might have to throw a second quiche in the oven for the rest of the family. ;)

quiche is my favourite no matter what kind it is! I'm not much for sweets but a home made choco chip cookie just might hit the spot.

15. I am so glad you are feeling better
the quiche is high in fat, but there's lots of protein in it (eggs and crab!)

12. Here is the recipe
preheat oven to 400.

9 " pie shell (I buy it--easier than making it)

8 oz lump crabmeat
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
1/3 cup chopped green onions (scallions)
4 large eggs
1 pt. heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
dash of cayenne pepper

put the pie shell into the glass pie dish

Place crabmeat, cheese and green onions in pie shell and toss (mix)

In bowl, beat eggs. Add whipping cream and the rest of ingredients. Pour into pie shell.

Bake in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Lower temp to 300, and bake for an additional 30 minutes (or until knife comes out clean)

Let set for 20 minutes before you cut into it.

I like to serve this w/ sauteed asparagas, or w/ sliced tomatoes that have been marinated in basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
