If you discovered you bought a pair of display model leather shoes,
and one looked entirely new but the other looked somewhat worn, would you return the pair?

Or am I being excessively anal-retentive on this? :)

Thanks!

1. I'd return them for sure
but because of the leather thing. :) Otherwise, was there a really good discount? I'm cheap, so if I'd got a really good deal I'd be okay with it, but I'd certainly not pay something close to full price.

3. No discount
:(

A pity that they're the best outlet around; the only style I liked...

You'd return them because they're leather? Or because one looked uneven?

5. If there's no discount I'd definitely return them.
Personally, if I bought a pair of leather shoes (and it'd take one heck of an accident since I check labels and the edges of the material to be sure I don't) hell yes I'd return them :) I don't want to wear somebody else's skin. ;)

With a good discount (on an otherwise suitable pair of shoes) I'd deal with the unevenness, I figure within a few wearings it would be un-noticable anyhow. For full retail it's really not worth the trouble.

6. Ah... I'm thinking the issue is more that lots of people tried on the shoe
than bought it and returned it later. (floor model)

Which seems silly, all the new shoe boxes are there - in most sizes. (and it's never the size one needs, go figure...)

Maybe I'm not destined to be wearing such a pair of shoes. :)

2. Thank you
I would return them. But more importantly your post reminded me that I have a pair of new shoes that I keep forgetting to lace up. My old pair is getting holes in them and I keep going out on the road with shabby shoes because I forget about my new pair.
