"The only other guy from the song I ever met was Mungo himself, who arrived from Pageland, South Carolina, to be on the Dick Cavett show and listen to me sing the song. I'd be surprised if someone here knows about this minor-league hockey enforcer, but someday he will play for the Detroit Red Wings (they own his rights) or some other team. When I first saw his name on the back of a hockey jersey, I thought it was a joke along the lines of Rod "He Hate Me" Smart. However, Mr. Big Snake (yes, that's his real name) is half-Cree and half-Blackfoot.
