Okay, so I know this copycat was pointless, but I had it to do.

Floogledy made me do it.

1. I had a red factor canary.

Does that count?

2. Certainly, since I posted about canarys. It's been years...
since I traded in them. I'll bet they've come up with some beautiful ones! :-)

3. I'm not adding anymore birds until I stop traveling around every year.

But having another canary in my life sometime sounds wonderful.

4. I did an image search...
on the red factor canarys. They're gorgeous! The colors remind me of lutino lovebirds, which are some of my favorite hookbills. ;)

5. Lovebirds are really cute.

Did you handle any of them after they stopped being babies?

6. A Friend of mine had a colony of about forty adults...
He called one day and said he couldn't get around to feed them any more and would have to sell them. He offered them to us first, because he liked the way we raised our birds.
We made a deal and I moved them. We handfed hundreds upon hundreds of babies in the next several years, and of course we had a number of them as personal pets. They are loving, affectionate Darlings when properly handraised.
I used to chop a salad everyday for the breeders and our other birds. I'd use corn on the cob, spinach and/or cabbage, bean sprouts, yellow squash, apples, pears, and a variety of other fruits and vegetables. Babies fed like that would be strong and healthy when we'd pull them out to hand feed and for bonding. We almost never had any health problems. I adore love birds! :)
