Good Monday Morning, Crew!
Edited on Mon May-01-06 05:04 AM by Clintmax

:donut::hi:

Welcome to a new week and the Monday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope you had a fantastic weekend! But, all good things must come to an end...so here we are at the start of another work week. I had to work this weekend, so I have today off! :woohoo:

I'm still waiting to hear from the Mortgage Broker and hopefully I'll hear something today! I'm so excited to know everything so I can actually start looking at houses with our realtor! I'll let you know tomorrow if I find anything out! :bounce:

Today is going to be one of those "Clean Everything In Sight" days for me. I've GOT to go do laundry and get groceries as well, so I'm going to be a busy boy. Sometimes, you just have to buckle down and get it done, you know it?

Well let's get this day started and tarry no longer, my crew. :bounce: I'm ready! Are you?

My legs are fine. My country is good too. Lots and lots of tests today.
~3 hours of them.

Ugh!

On the upside, my shopping was cheap. I may not need to go shopping for a few days, I even bought something special - and the whole thing cost $12.50. Pretty awesome huh?

Actually, we do get way cheaper and healthier food here, but still....

How often do you spend that much?

I just got some rissoles, 3L of milk, some fruit, some custard. ;)

109. Black and Yellow Garden Spider.
Latin name Argiope aurantia.

They're harmless, but look like they'll bite your head off.

It's a beautiful sunny day - and it's a bank holiday in England so I'm off work too. :bounce:

Appropriately enough, I've got "Now is the Month of Maying" by Morley playing. It's starting to grate a wee bit on the 40th repeat or thereabouts, so I suppose I should think of something else to put on.

104. That's one of the problems with
pop/rock music - everything is designed to fit into song form.

I do have songs, very few of them, and in those cases they're just like pop songs of a couple of minutes in length. But the vast majority of the music I have isn't songs.

in advance, and just had to throw our everyday dishes, cups, a few towels and the like into a laundry basket. The truck was loaded and all told it took about 1 and a half hours to move us. :) The rest of the day was spent just having a good time. We'll have to compare experiences this time around.

Guess we really don't celebrate that much here. I think in the western states some communities have festivities though.

Ah, I'm raring to go for this week. Lots of work. My project comes to fruition on Thursday and Friday, but it's a lot of work until then.

Hope you hear from your mortgage broker today. You know, you can always do 'drive bys" when looking at homes. I would suspect pictures could be deceiving, and that way you can look over the neighborhood too.

Everyone does. We hope to find out the final word about if our buyer's financing goes through. It's enough to turn your hair grey.

I went online a few days ago to get my free credit report. It's interesting how they all do it differently ... and wildly different credt scores! They don't even use the same scale! When I can spend more time at the computer, I'll get harleydad's. I want to make sure the new car ins. co. can't give us any bs about not having a good enough credit score to get the best rate. (They tried that about a week and a half after my credit union told me they were lowering the interest rate on my Visa card b/c my credit score was so high. Go figure.)

Why were you lifting a 150 lb. table top by yourself? Ouch! I hurt mine at work about 6 years ago lifting a computer. It was light, but I did something wrong, my back was tired from traveling, and I had to go on worker's comp and get all kinds of physical therapy. I thought it was all healed, but it comes back to haunt me whenever it gets a little tired or I do something strange to it. :(

There wasn't anyone else in the store with me at the time (it was before opening) and the table up front HAD to be complete before we opened. So I thought I'd just go ahead and do it. I should have waited. But, I'm all better now. Thank goodness no long term effects.

141. Heya Clint - good luck with house-hunting
I sure don't envy you THAT little task. And once you DO find somewhere, then there's the moving and all the shit that goes with it.

And I've just done the "Clean Everything In Sight" thing - my apartment today, laundry on Saturday (another long weekend here), so I'm a little pooped.

I just posted something in GD, so I'm seeing what's going on in the Lounge. Don't do too much on your day off !!!

:hi:

143. Hail, Aussie!
:hi:
It's good to see you today! Sounds like you've been a busy boy! I hate moving, so that's going to be a task, I'm quite sure. Wanna come help me?
