To all who helped me decide about the 11 yr. old on myspace:

I talked to her mom, who was wonderful and appreciative. She knew the girl had a myspace account, and they both thought her personal information was hidden. She was glad to know the situation and will address the privacy issue with her daughter. (Which will mean the account gets canceled, I think, since mom didn't like the idea in the first place.) We traded compliments and words of appreciation, and talked about how lucky we are to have people in our lives who care enough to tell us the hard stuff.
