Stomach Flu: The Gift That keeps on Giving
Ok so Tavernertoddler gets sent home from day care with stomach flu. He manages to yak all over the day care, and to boot every other kid has it too. So the day care center smells of vomit.

I take him out and as I ask him if he got sick, he manages to hork all over me. Fun.

Anyway, 24 agonizing hours later, Tavernertoddler is OK, but now wifey and I have stomach flu. And we have this energetic toddler wanting to play whilst the room spins clockwise and then counter-clockwise for us. More fun.

So we're better now, and luckily Tavernertot did not catch it. So far...

1. Phenergan. Works wonders. Especially with kids.

2. Videos, popsicles, promises of hot wheel cars.
If bribery were ever advisable, now is the time. My best experience ever: I was in labor (about three hours before Jack popped out,) with a 12 month old (literally) crawling up my back as I puked all over the linoleum on my hands and knees. (I didn't want to bother my husband at work until I absolutely HAD to go to the hospital.) I can laugh about it now...

The joys of parenthood!:D

3. It's the worst when they give it to you and they are feeling great!
So hard to keep up with them when you feel awful.

I can remember heaving for two solid days once, all the while my two year old walked around the house and imitated me. Horror.

And it's usually a time-delay thing for us. Sometimes, the ticking time bomb will hide for a week or so before going off and blasting us.

Kids seem to bounce back so much faster from it than we do.
