Colbert is the heir apparent of Kurt Vonnegut.
I usually don't make comparisons of celebrities to literary icons. But I just finished reading Colbert's transcript. It was so similar to Vonnegut, I thought he could have written it himself- the sense of humor is identical, the satire, the cynicism, the repitition of themes/one-liners,...

Anybody else notice that?
