1. How did I know you wrote this before even looking
at the author?

Will the Dome be open? Is Harrah's open? Wanna play some poker?

4. Because you are one on sharp Grannie
Yes. Yes. I don't know how to play poker, will you teach me? Harrah's is up and running and the Dome will be ready (fingers crossed) for the first game.

2. I live in Georgia but I hope the Saints come back strong
they got more tools on offense than Sears Craftsman...

3. I don't need to contradict you...
steadfast laws of physics state that the Saints will continue to suck beyond the realm of time...

But I've never been a fan, so don't bother to ask me if I care!

5. I really, really, really hope so;
but me and my father have both been really, really, really hoping since the team's inception.

But, now, we've finally got someone GOOD; hope he doesn't turn out like Archie Manning, a la the only decent player on the entire team.

6. Maybe in 2-3 seasons
Their defense still needs a ton of work. Getting Reggie Bush will be great for the future of the team, but it's not like they were lacking a ground game. Brees might help, as long as he doesnt' falter again in his consistency.

It'll probably come down to coaching. Remember, getting R.B. was a good thing for Saints Fans, but dont' forget that the back he's most compared to Barry Sanders, played for a lousy Detroit team for all his years. Never made the big game. Rarely made the playoffs.

There's more to the puzzle than a good RB.

7. They Have To Line Up Properly To Use Reggie Bush

I'm sorry. I still think this pic from last season's exhibition season is funny.

10. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning on draft day
I still can't believe it. I've been watching Bush highlights online all day.

I like Sean Payton. So far he's doing and saying all the right things.

I can't wait for 9/25. There won't be a dry eye in the house.

11. Actually, nothing would thrill me more!
Even though I am died in the wool, purple bleeding Viking fan, I think the people of the gulf coast, particularly the people of New Orleans need something to cheer for!

13. Drew Brees is an All-Pro QB. LenDale White is the 3rd best RB in the draft
White ran for over 1000 yds and scored more TD's than Reggie Bush at USC.
Now if the Saints can fix their O-line problems, and protect Brees, they'll be a playoff team this season.

18. They made some really lame picks in the later rounds
and passed on some people who were much better fits and more likely to make the team and stick in the NFL. It wasn't entirely abysmal, but certainly not what I'd hoped.

19. Nobody kicks the Bears' ass.
Edited on Mon May-01-06 03:36 PM by XNASA
They might get beat now and then....but nobody kicks their ass. In fact, I've seen the Bears kick the other team's asses, and still lose the game, on many occasions.

20. Looks like I'm off the Bush-bashing for a while
Reggie, that is, not Dubya, who has "Redskins fan" -- if not "Cowboys fan" -- written all over him.

Aside: Poppy Bush cruised to his party's nomination in 1988, with the coronation, er, I mean convention held at -- the Superdome!

Geaux (Reggie) Bush! Geaux Saints! (it doesn't even matter if I'm still out here, because obviously we have no team, and what's the point rooting for the Niners these days? :eyes: )

21. No they won't.
They have a good offense now, except they lost C Lecharles Bently so they have no O-Line. Therefore, Umenyoria, Strahan, and the rest of the Giants defense sackand put pressure on Brees all the time. The when we are on offense the Saints have no "D". Eli throws to Shockey, or Plaxico, or Toomer, or Moss, and Tiki runs them over.
Giants win 35-10.
